Privacy Policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Nippon Colours collects when you use this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the rights you have. We follow the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
1. Who we are
This website is run by Nippon Paints Industry LLC, trading as Nippon Colours, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
2. What we collect
When you place an order
- Your name, phone number, email address, company name (if you give one), delivery address and city.
- The products, pack sizes, RAL colours and quantities you choose, any notes you add, your payment method and any promo code.
When you ask for a wholesale quote or a colour sample
- Your name, company, phone number, email address, the product and quantity you are interested in, and your message.
Collected automatically
- A one-way coded version of your IP address (we do not store the address itself), used to stop abuse such as repeated fake orders.
- Your browser's user-agent text, which says which browser and system you use, stored with an order or request to help us investigate problems.
- Standard technical server logs, used only to keep the website running and secure.
We do not collect card numbers. If you pay by card, you enter your card details on the secure payment page of our payment provider, Stripe, and we only receive confirmation that the payment succeeded.
3. How we use it
- To fulfil your order or request: to confirm it, tint and pack your products, arrange delivery, take payment and contact you about it. This is necessary to perform our contract with you or to take steps at your request before one.
- To send you messages about your order: an order confirmation and a link to track your order. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask us to.
- To meet legal duties: for example keeping tax invoices and records under UAE VAT law.
- To protect the website: to detect and block fraud, spam and attacks. This is in our legitimate interest and yours.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that affect you.
5. Cookies and browser storage
The shop does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser keeps a few items on your own device so the site works the way you left it:
- The products, pack sizes, quantities and colours in your buy request.
- Your choice of light or dark theme.
These never leave your device unless you place an order. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings. Staff who sign in to our admin area receive a strictly necessary sign-in cookie.
6. How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: at least five years after the end of the tax period, as UAE VAT law requires.
- Quote and sample requests that do not lead to an order: up to two years, so we can follow up on your enquiry.
- Security records: up to one year.
After that we delete the data or make it anonymous.
7. How we protect it
The website is served only over an encrypted connection. Access to orders is limited to our staff, each with an individual account protected by a strong password and a second sign-in step. Every staff action is recorded. Tracking links use a secret code, so only the person with the link can see an order.
8. Your rights
Under UAE data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your data, unless we must keep it by law (for example tax records);
- restrict or stop using your data, or object to how we use it;
- send your data to you or another company in a common format.
We answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first, for example by asking you to write from the email address or phone number on your order.
9. Contact and complaints
For any question about your personal data, email sales@nipponpigment.com or call +971 6 7428519. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.
We may update this policy when our services change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
